Thrilled to share that Scyntek won 1st place at the FITEN Global Tamil Entrepreneurship Summit business pitch competition! Representing Scyntek at the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FETNA)’s international entrepreneurship summit was an incredible honor. Competing alongside passionate innovators from around the world, we had the opportunity to present our vision for accessible, non-invasive clot detection  a technology we believe can redefine early intervention in vascular care.This recognition by the FETNA International Tamil Entrepreneurship Network (FITEN) reaffirms our belief that innovation thrives at the intersection of purpose, community, and global collaboration.

Scyntek was chosen to represent UNC-Chapel Hill in the National Academy of Inventors’ Genspiration Prize, a prestigious nationwide competition spotlighting the most innovative and impactful student-led solutions in science, engineering, and technology. This recognition highlights Scyntek’s potential to transform early detection of vascular conditions and its leadership in student-driven medical innovation.

Scyntek took home 1st place at UNC’s Joan and Chester Luby Pitch Competition!

These pitches are aimed at highlighting some of the Triangle’s most exciting up-and-coming startups and providing a platform for sharing their work.

Scyntek is honored to have won the  Grand Prize at NC State’s 2025 VenturePack Challenge!


This recognition highlights the critical need for faster, more accessible tools to detect Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), and our commitment to meeting that need. At Scyntek, we’re building a noninvasive, point-of-care screening device that empowers frontline healthcare providers to catch DVT earlier.

Scyntek has been selected to represent UNC-Chapel Hill at the ACC InVenture Prize, a premier innovation competition showcasing top student-led ventures from ACC universities! The competition will take place April 1-3 at the University of Notre Dame, where teams from 13 other ACC schools will compete for top honors. This event highlights some of the most innovative student ventures in the conference and provides an incredible opportunity to share this innovation on a larger stage. This selection reinforces our continued progress in advancing noninvasive solutions for vascular health monitoring and reflects confidence in the impact of this innovation and its potential for real-world application.
